Madeline Cushing
Madeline (“Maddie”) Cushing, CNM joined La Follette OBGYN and Aesthetics in October 2022. She serves as the practice’s Certified Nurse Midwife.
Originally from Orange County, Maddie studied nursing at Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana, and received her Master of Science in Nurse-Midwifery from Kentucky’s Frontier Nursing University. Of note, Maddie worked as a labor and delivery nurse for six years before becoming a midwife, and she is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Nursing Practice. Maddie’s healthcare specialties include Prenatal Care, Gynecology, and Evidence-based, Low Intervention Birth. While strongly focused on caring for women from menarche to menopause and beyond, she is a passionate women’s health educator and advocate for birth control management.
Recently married, Maddie and her husband Jack reside in the Russian Hill neighborhood of San Francisco. When not working, she enjoys the area’s food scene, hiking, and being a pet owner.
