Alyssa Lo, MD
Alyssa Lo, MD, a board-eligible Obstetrician and Gynecologist with privileges at Marin Health Medical Center, Novato Community Hospital, and California Pacific Medical Center, was born and raised in Marin County. She credits her work with Dr. La Follette when she was a pre-medical student for sparking her love and ongoing interest in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Delighted to be providing women’s healthcare in the community where she grew up, Dr. Lo attended Archie Williams High School, completed her bachelor’s degree in human biology at Stanford University, her medical doctorate degree from UC Irvine Medical School, and her Ob-Gyn residency at USC – LAGMC. Her impressive list of past honors includes induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society and recognition as Outstanding Graduating Medical Student Performance in Obstetrics & Gynecology when at UC Irvine Medical School. While she has achieved a plethora of women’s healthcare certifications and awards over time, she still smiles when she is remembered as a former Division 1 NCAA Champion, and International Water Polo player. Her innate excitement and passion for Obstetrics and Gynecology shows in the close patient relationships she establishes while supporting and guiding patients through adolescence, pregnancy, childbirth, perimenopause, and menopause. Her professional expertise and interests include high-risk obstetrics, vaginal birth after cesarean, birth control choices, minimally invasive and robotic surgery, management of abnormal uterine bleeding, and routine preventative care. When not working, Dr Lo enjoys spending time with her family, going on hikes, and exploring cultures through cuisine.
